From the Federation and Queen Anne architectural styles, through to Art Deco and post-war designs, for over 150 years brickwork has been a constant in the fabric of Elsternwick. At 45 Orrong Road we’ve used charcoal brick in hit-and-miss screens at street level, and on the building façade itself, utilising local bricklaying skills that have remained unchanged for centuries. Combined with off-form concrete, natural timbers and standing-seam metal cladding, modern and traditional materials come together in a sensitive addition to the suburb’s architectural heritage.
We create long-lasting homes for our buyers, using classic, sophisticated palettes — like terrazzo and oak parquetry, partnered with brushed chrome and antique finishes. In the kitchens traditional details like routed-timber cabinetry and natural stone marry seamlessly with more modern touches — such as sheet metal wrapping the ends of the island benches in bronze and black stainless steel. Throughout each apartment, every product has been carefully selected to last and to avoid modern trends that quickly date, inviting each buyer to bring their lifetime collections and treasured belongings with them.
